Punch Management

Summary

Punches preserve time observations and can create calculated attendance when sufficient duration is available.

Audience

Employees, managers, HR and attendance administrators, analysts, product owners, and QA engineers.

Punch flow

Multiple observations can exist. In/out labels identify arrival and departure; a departure may pair with the first arrival for that date. Explicit worked duration can take precedence. A punch without sufficient duration does not create calculated attendance.

Duplicate, invalid-order, multi-interval, missing-punch correction, punch editing, break, and device rules are Requires confirmation. The UI's same-day safeguards are not a complete domain rule.
