Work Hours

Summary

Attendance distinguishes scheduled or standard hours from actual worked hours and derives paid units without publishing tenant-specific thresholds.

Audience

Employees, managers, HR, attendance and payroll administrators, analysts, and QA engineers.

Confirmed rules

Scheduled context comes from an effective shift. Standard daily hours resolve from shift, then active default policy, then employee profile. Actual hours are entered or derived from a supported punch interval. Direct mode maps Present, Half Day, and Absent to full, partial, and zero paid units; Hourly mode derives a capped payable proportion from worked time unless an allowed value is supplied. Explicit Half Day without hours receives the corresponding standard-hours portion; Absent forces zero work and paid units.

Break deductions, meal periods, net multi-interval aggregation, minimum intervals, and an approved rounding policy are Requires confirmation.
